SIGHTSEEING CORFU TOWN & ACHILION Half day tour We start with a visit to the Achillion Palace, which was built in the 19th century for Empress Elisabeth (Sissy) and was bought later on by Emperor William II of Germany. Passing through the royal summer Residence of Mon Repos, you come to the KANONI peninsula, where you may see the Pontikonisi Mouse Island) and the small monastery Vlacherna. From there you visit a part of Corfu town with the church of St.Spyridon, patron saint of the island. The sights of the town, the Town Hall, the Palace and the aristocratic houses are witnesses of a glorious past. Finally you have a good chance for a walk through the old part of the town and its shops.
